The Clinical Care Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a part-time temporary (12 months) Clinical Psychologist in the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for psychosis (CBTp) Service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering individual and group-based programming to a wide variety of clients with schizophrenia spectrum conditions and concurrent disorders in inpatient day hospital and outpatient settings. Reporting to the Manager of Psychological Services in the Schizophrenia Division and the Clinical Lead of the CBTp Service the successful candidate will support treatment program development capacity building interprofessional education and clinical research related to CBTp for CAMH clients with psychosis.

The successful candidate will also contribute to a multisite randomized controlled trial evaluating the efficacy of combined CBTp and Cognitive Remediation (CR) for schizophrenia spectrum conditions. This role involves assisting a clinical research team in delivering manualized therapeutic interventions including group-based CR and individual CBTp. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. This position is located at the 1051 Queen Street West.

The successful candidate will have a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and eligibility for or current registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario to practice Clinical Psychology. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of extensive experience with CBTp as well as prior experience in delivering CR and training in the assessment of psychotic symptoms. A track record of supporting and implementing research and program evaluation related to CBTp interventions in hospital-based contexts is also required.

You will also have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and function well within a cooperative collaborative working environment. You have the ability for self-directed learning/working while working concurrently on multiple projects. The successful candidate is able to work independently with minimal supervision seeking advice and support when needed. You must be able to work effectively in a wide range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. An excellent attendance record consistency and reliability should be demonstrated in your record of past employment and references.
