Job Title:Shop Controller PTF/NEST

Working Pattern: Shifts

Working location:Derby

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for ensuring that engine build parts and build kits are delivered to the PTF & NEST build facilities in a timely manner to meet the manufacturing plan.

Work with the build line Production Leaders and the Materials Management Centre (MMC) to advise kit status and availability via the kitting footprint process in the Logistics Sequencing Centre (LSC).

Responsibilities

  • Be competent in the use of SAP Warehouse and material allocation knowledge is desirable to book be able to allocate material and update SAP records to Engine Networks.
  • Resolve operational part shortage and damage issues escalated to Shop Control by the Build Line Management and Shift Production Leaders. Ensuring where available the prompt supply of material is actioned or appropriate containment/escalation is communicated.
  • React to build non-conformance issues providing replacement material in a timely manner or where necessary communicate stock issues affecting delays. Ensure all necessary quality management processes are observed and SAP records are correct/updated.
  • Prioritise material ordering in line with MMC kitting strike off to support engine/module build launches. Updating kit status records in the LSC to reflect kit status available dates and shortages.
  • Book in and manage ad hoc large part storage requirements from of fancases and modules ensuring prompt booking in and communication to build of available material. Call off material for build from offsite storage to meet build line need.
  • Support out of hours NEST RTS part rebuild requirement and shortages using the electronic RTS Kitting Process and Operation Build Disruption process
  • Work closely with Engine and Module build to investigate and resolve Operational Build Disruptions for parts.
  • Use the electronic OTIF reporting process to identify received kit shortages and ensure material is on order or available to where possible complete the kit before passed to build Advising build leaders of shortages.
  • Work closely with INCORA team in the LSC to resolve C Class kit shortage issues range stock requirements and ad hoc replacement due to missing parts or damage.
  • Attend daily board walk meetings to gain knowledge of next kit requirements and part shortages.
