Job Description Digital Investigative Analyst


Job Classification: Non-Exempt

Supervised By: DIU Manager


General Summary: The DIU Investigative Analyst provides support to field investigators case managers and clients by conducting comprehensive database social media and background research. They handle a variety of tasks all while providing the highest quality work product.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field (Bachelors preferred)
  • Successful completion of the Lemieux & Associates initial training course upon hire

Knowledge:

  • English spelling grammar and punctuation
  • Strong knowledge of major social media platforms

Skills:

  • Computer literacy including working knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office Internet Explorer Adobe Acrobat
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Organization and time management
  • Team building
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Multi-tasking







Essential Job Functions:


  1. Conducts background and social media investigations primarily for liability workers compensation and disability claims.

  1. Communicates effectively with case managers and investigative field staff regarding background information requests.

  1. Ensures confidentiality of all information obtained through investigative activities.

  1. Manages assigned cases and maintains accurate and well-organized case files.

  1. Performs intake of investigative assignments from clients.

  1. Testifies as necessary to the facts collected in any hearing or court of law.

  1. Effectively utilizes available resources including Internet to complete assignments.

  1. Willingly takes on new responsibilities.

  1. Accepts direction and supervision in a positive manner.

  1. Maintains effective working relationships with co-workers.

  1. Keeps current on professional knowledge and technical skills through continuing education courses industry seminar/tradeshow attendance and/or membership in industry-related organizations.

  1. Provide constructive feedback to Team Leads and/or Desktop Managers regarding identified improvement opportunities.

  1. Other assignments and projects as dictated by business need or management direction.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this job the employee is in an office setting. The employee is regularly required to sit and operate a computer for long periods. The employee communicates on a regular basis with supervisors clients and staff in the corporate office via telephone and e-mail. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
