Overview of the role
This is a fantastic time to be joining Suncorp as the industry goes through significant change. As a result we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Consumer Tribe to operate in the Motor Claims space.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 280 like-minded analysts where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile).

What youll do:
- Build strong relationships through engagement with colleagues and stakeholders across Business and Technology.
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately completely and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Raise and support mitigation and resolution of risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Create user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery.
- Work closely with squad / project members including but not limited to Delivery Leads Product Owners Scrum Masters architects to work through ideation and discovery of new initiatives.
What youll bring:
- Minimum 2-4 years business analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role from a large organisation.
- Minimum 2-4 years Agile Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices workshops and Agile ceremonies facilitation.
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Financial Services or Insurance background solid industry knowledge with the ability to understand regulatory environments customer needs and operational challenges.
- Proven experience in ideation and discovery demonstrated capability to identify shape and evaluate new initiatives from concept through to business case with a focus on driving innovation and value.
- Strong understanding of technology able to confidently engage with technical stakeholders translate business needs into technology considerations and assess feasibility without needing to be a hands-on technical Business Analyst.
- Strong stakeholder engagement relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude willingness to learn and desire to make a difference.
