As a Rotor Shop Technician in the rotor shop you will perform various operations including but not limited to; disassembly inspecting balancing and reassembling of Gas Turbine rotors Centrifugal compressor rotors and Steam rotors.
As a Rotor Shop Technician you will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating familiarity with hand pneumatic and hydraulic tooling Accurately use precision measuring equipment (ID / OD / depth micrometers calipers etc.)
- Overhauling and repairing of GE10 PGT 10/PGT 25 Frame 3/Frame 5/Frame 7 Gas Turbines
- Possessing a deep mechanical aptitude with ability to independently comprehend complex machining or assembly drawings including
- Performing vertical and horizontal balancing of gas turbines
- Working as a team member to follow detailed work routers for inspection and repair of rotating equipment while under time constraints
- Troubleshooting test assemble disassemble and perform the visual inspection of Rotating Equipment.
- Assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment you will perform all test with minimal instruction
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent diploma
- Have overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following areas: GE10 PGT 10/PGT 25 Frame 3/Frame 5/Frame 7 Gas Turbine and Steam repairs
- Have good knowledge of HSE requirements and be able to follow and update safety policies and procedures
- Be able to work second shift- 2PM-10:30PM and overtime as needed
- Have manual machining experience with gas turbines and steam rotors preferred
