TFS is looking for qualified students to fill Summer 2026 Internship positions in Software Engineering including:
Cloud Engineering
Data Engineering
DevOps Engineering
Full Stack/Development Engineering
Machine Learning/AI Engineering
Site Reliability Engineering
Test Automation (QA) Engineering
UI/Front End Engineering
What youll be doing
Project Support and Execution: Assist with ongoing projects by contributing to planning research and execution. The projects vary depending on the field.
Develop Technical and Analytical Skills: Gain proficiency in tools and technologies used at Toyota such as programing languages data visualization platforms or manufacturing systems.
Networking and collaboration: Grow professional network through participating in team meetings and communicating cross-functionally with engineering IT manufacturing and business units.
Process Improvement and Innovation: Interns are encouraged to observe current practices and suggest improvements. This may include observing workflows identifying inefficiencies proposing new methods or supporting implementation.
Past projects have included but limited to:
Building new system to help dealers including building new APIs building new user interface and deploy the application in public cloud.
Enable and track project adoption through Github app.
Evaluate local stack setup to simplify local development / testing of cloud native solutions and microservices architectures.
Build out Cloud Visibility Dashboards to visualize cloud spend inventory and health metrics that will be consumed by key stakeholders.
Build a configurable utility to assess query performance identify opportunities for improvement and address cost within Snowflake. Enable service to plug into other tools to provide this feedback via IDEs for users.
Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have reliable transportation
Must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota sponsorship for immigration-related employment (including but not limited to H-1B O-1 E-3 H-1B1 TN or F-1 OPT extension) now or in the future
Minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher
Must have completed at least one full academic year at a two- or four-year college or university post-high school (sophomore standing or above)
Currently enrolled in a full-time accredited degree program (this includes both two-year and four-year colleges) studying in a STEM discipline or related field such as:
Computer Science
Computer Engineering
Software Engineering
Information Technology Systems
Additional Requirements applicable to various disciplines
Familiarity with languages like Java C and Python as well as distributed and cloud-based technologies
Hands-on development experience in distributed analytical cloud-based and open-source technologies
Strong analytical and critical thinking competency
