Location/Division Specific Information:
The Frederick MD location is a critical part of Thermo Fishers organization providing support for up to 5 Business Groups and multiple Divisions from distribution to Life Sciences and Corporate support. We are a leading provider of innovative products and services.
How Will You Make an Impact:
The Manufacturing Operator plays an integral part of operations as a member of one of our manufacturing department teams to ensure life-saving products are created handled and delivered safely on time and with the highest quality standards.
A Day in the Life:
- Work within a manufacturing environment both individually and within a team to ensure customers receive a product that exceeds quality specifications.
- Communicate with several work groups to ensure the completion of daily production.
- Work in both standard and clean room environments while adhering to area-specific PPE requirements.
- Safely operate manual and automated filling equipment.
- Safely operate pallet jacks.
- Handle and process materials that are in temperature sensitive conditions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- May be required to safely operate a 26 foot box truck and transit vehicle.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing operations production lab setting or related field
- Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the metric system and ability to perform conversions.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and cGMPs. problems collect data establish facts and draw conclusions from identifying errors
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
- Able to work in normal to extreme conditions: Ambient Cold Room (2-8F) Freezer (-20F) and Ultra Cold (-80F).

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $16.78$25.17.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
