Job Description

The Empty Container Depot is a vital part of our operations. We handle store and service empty containers on behalf of our customers and we pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service while maintaining a strong safety culture. Were now looking for a General Hand who is motivated reliable and passionate about getting things done to the highest standard. Youll be driven to provide exceptional service and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
What Youll Be Doing
In this role youll have a variety of responsibilities that keep the depot running smoothly including:
- Preparing and painting containers
- Operating forklifts (receiving parts deliveries moving goods etc.)
- Washing containers using high-pressure steam cleaning equipment
- Performing minor repairs manual handling and general labour duties
- Assisting with some administrative tasks as needed
What Were Looking For
Youll be a great fit for this role if you have the following attributes:
- Practical with a can-do attitude
- Reliable punctual and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capable of following standard operational procedures and health and safety guidelines
- Physically fit and adaptable to working a shift roster
- Safety conscious with a Class 1 New Zealand Drivers licence
- A forklift endorsement or current OSH Forklift certification is desirable
