About the Role
As a Semi Senior Accountant youll work closely with our clients experienced team whilst developing your technical skills and building valuable client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in a supportive professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing accounts for sole traders partnerships and limited companies
Assisting with periodic bookkeeping and management accounts preparation
Supporting VAT return preparation and submissions
Learning advanced accounting techniques under senior supervision
Developing client relationship and communication skills
Assisting with company secretarial duties
Supporting audit and review processes
Contributing to general administrative functions
What Were Looking For
Essential Requirements:
AAT Level 2/3 qualification or equivalent practical experience
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
Keen interest in pursuing further professional qualifications
Self-motivated with good organisational abilities
Desirable Requirements:
Some practice experience (training will be provided)
Familiarity with accounting software (CCH Sage Xero)
Understanding of UK tax legislation basics
Previous client-facing experience
