Position Overview
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in turning data into action. Youll design build and deliver business intelligence solutions that help our teams and customers make smarter faster decisions. From analyzing trends and performance metrics to creating powerful dashboards and visualizations your work will drive insights that fuel operational excellence and strategic growth across our logistics network.
What Youll Do
Data & BI Development
- Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable real-time insights.
- Design and optimize SQL queries data models and ETL processes to ensure clean efficient data pipelines.
- Support scalable BI initiatives that align with business goals and operational needs.
Analysis & Insights
- Translate complex datasets into clear actionable insights for teams across operations finance sales and leadership.
- Identify trends patterns and opportunities to improve performance efficiency and profitability.
- Provide data-backed recommendations to enhance operational decision-making and strategy.
Governance & Quality
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing rigorous validation quality checks and governance standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems resolving issues quickly and efficiently.
Stakeholder Engagement & Support
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
- Provide training and support to promote adoption and empower users across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to advance RWIs data warehouse and analytics infrastructure.
Innovation & Growth
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging BI tools to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing innovative data solutions that support growth and scalability.
Qualifications
Educational Background: 4-year degree in Information Systems Data Analytics Computer Science or related field preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years of professional work experience in business intelligence and data analysis. Understanding of logistics transportation or supply chain operations is preferred but not required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical: Strong SQL skills with experience in data modeling ETL development and database management. Proficiency data visualization/BI tools such as DOMO Power BI Tableau or similar platforms.
- Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to a diverse audience and to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Capable of identifying growth opportunities and operational improvements developing strategies and implementing solutions that align with organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret large complex datasets and present findings in a clear actionable manner to drive decision-making and improvements.
- Innovative / Continuous Improvement - Committed to improving processes products services and a willingness to embrace change for the benefit of our team department organization and shareholders.
