Position Overview:

The Project Portfolio Manager will oversee and manage a portfolio of projects. This role involves coordinating project activities ensuring alignment with organizational goals and assisting in the implementation of project management best practices.

This is an onsite essential role.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Management: Assist in the management of multiple projects at various stages of the project lifecycle from initiation to completion

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements provide updates and ensure project alignment with business objectives

  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify assess and manage project risks and issues ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary

  • Project Planning: Assist in the development of project plans including the identification of key activities resource requirements and critical paths

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor project performance against agreed targets ensuring projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget

  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks and compliance with organizational policies and procedures

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare regular status reports for senior management. Use metrics and data visualization effectively to report portfolio performance and support decision making at the team or organizational level

  • Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate project reviews and checkpoint meetings

  • Training: Onboarding and training of Consultant Project Managers to ensure adherence to standards including processes and tools for Project Delivery

Required Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business Project Management Engineering or a related field (preferred)

  • 1-4 years of experience in project management or a related role. Willingness to train/mentor the selected candidate.

  • PMP CAPM or other relevant project management certifications are preferred

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

  • Proactive and able to work independently

  • Adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset

Tools / Systems / Software

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project Azure DevOps)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Apps including Microsoft Teams Power BI PowerPoint SharePoint and Excel

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs

  • Able to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level

  • Generally spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices such as but not limited to keyboard mouse and screen

  • Generally spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands head and other parts of your body

  • Capable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concrete

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height

  • Regular and consistent attendance due to need to access physical equipment

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is:

$73000

to

$100000

Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range including the candidates work experience in related roles; the candidates knowledge skills capabilities and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
