Hanover Township Administrative Specialist
Under the direction of the Administrative Services Manager the Administrative Specialist shall assist in the day-to-day operations of the Department of Administrative Services and the Office of the Mental Health Board by providing professional administrative support. The Administrative Specialist assists in the processing of passport applications and renewals license plate renewals hunting and fishing licenses handicap placards and voter registration. Responsible for reconciliation of the Townships purchasing card program. The Administrative Specialist will assist with special project research and the analysis of performance measures programmatic audits and other projects as needed. Responsible for providing direct support to the department and maintaining a professional image through in-person email and telephone interactions.
This position is non-exempt with a pay range of $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (depending on qualification and experience). The hours are MWRF- 8:30am-4:30pm and Tuesday- 11:00am-7:00pm.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree in office administration or related field required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Three years of experience in office administration is preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required including but not limited to Word PowerPoint and Excel.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must meet requirements to be passport acceptance agent and obtain certification.
- Willingness to receive Certified Illinois Assessing Officer (CIAO) designation within 12 months.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed in addition to attending once a month Mental Health Board meetings.
