Job Description
Job Title: Anesthesia Technologist
Location: Syracuse NY
Type: Contract
Shift: 2:00 PM 11:30 PM with occasional rotation to 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Note: No weekends holidays or on-call required
Pay Rate: $30 to $33 per hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technologist to support anesthesia services across all locations where general anesthesia is administered. This role involves the preparation maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment as well as assistance with invasive procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail solid technical knowledge and experience working in high-acuity environments such as a Level 1 trauma center.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up operating rooms for anesthesia procedures including invasive cases
Perform room turnovers and ensure readiness of anesthesia equipment and supplies
Operate troubleshoot and maintain various anesthesia machines and related equipment
Assist anesthesia providers during invasive procedures including:
Arterial line insertion
Central venous catheter (CVC) placement
Thermodilution catheter placement
Adhere strictly to infection control protocols in handling anesthesia equipment and supplies
Order stock and maintain anesthesia supplies carts and rooms as directed
Apply sterile and aseptic techniques during tray preparation and equipment reprocessing
Required Credentials:
BLS Certification
COVID-19 Vaccination Record
Valid Anesthesia Technologist License
