We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our headquarters team in El Dorado Hills CA. This role will support daily accounting operations financial reporting and month-end close helping to ensure the accuracy of RFgens financial data as we continue to grow globally.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Record journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
- Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external review.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support
- Assist with invoice processing payment applications and reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding balances and support collection efforts.
- Ensure compliance with RFgens approval workflows before posting transactions.
Month-End & Year-End Close
- Support month-end close activities including accruals reconciliations and reporting.
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset schedules depreciation entries and related documentation.
- Provide auditors with requested materials during annual audits.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Assist in preparing financial reports to support executive decision-making.
- Participate in budget preparation variance analysis and KPI tracking.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with RFgens internal controls company policies and GAAP.
- Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and efficiencies.
- Maintain organized up-to-date accounting records to support scalability.
Education:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration preferred.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in general accounting AR/AP or financial reporting.
- Experience in the software or professional services industry is a plus.
- Prior exposure to subscription-based or SaaS accounting models (preferred).
Skills:
- Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting software.
- Strong Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with colleagues and external partners.
