Call Centre Clinician
About the Role
As aClient Assist Contact Clinician youll provide phone-based mental health support to clients across regional Australia. Working in a24/7 rostered environment youll operate within ahybrid model(from home and office) delivering clinical services over the phone.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Intake assessment and triage of clients
- Immediate mental health support
- Referrals to state-based specialist and crisis case management services
Youll receive ongoing professional development and funded clinical supervision to support your growth.
Mandatory Requirements
To be eligible you must have:
- A current or eligibleWorking with Vulnerable People registration
- A current or eligibleWorking with Children check
- One of the following qualifications: Registered Psychologist / Occupational Therapist / Registered Nurse (with full AHPRA registration)
- Social Worker (with AASW membership)
- Masters-level Counselling qualification with PACFA (Registered Clinical Counsellor) or ACA (Level 3 or 4) registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain aBaseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver trauma-informed client-centred intake and brief interventions
- Conduct risk assessments and document clinical intake appropriately
- Respond calmly and effectively to critical incidents
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Confidently use IT systems and software
Ideal Candidate Profile
You will:
- Work flexible shifts across 24/7 roster
- Provide high-quality clinical services including:
- Risk assessment and intervention
- Intake and referral
- Single-session counselling
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records using the Client Management System
- Participate in CPD activities and clinical supervision
- Follow ethical guidelines and relevant legislation
- Collaborate with colleagues and external providers to coordinate care
- Promote safe and cooperative working practices aligned with APS Values
Whats on Offer
- Hourly Rate:$55$65 (including super)
- Contract:12 months
- Location:Melbourne
