The Clinical Care program is seeking a full-time permanent Program Assistant to work within theCrisis Critical Care Treatment Unit 7 (formerly Womens Inpatient Unit). Reporting to the Manager you will contribute to the organization and optimal function of the Womens inpatient Unit under the direction of the clinical staff and promote maintenance of the therapeutic milieu as a member of the interprofessional team. Supporting staff and patients within this role include tasks such as:
You will support a workplace that embraces diversity encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position involves shift rotation and weekend work. The position is located at the Queen Street Site and istwelve (12) hour shifts.
The successful candidate will have a Secondary School diploma or equivalent and preference will be given to candidates that have 6 months - 1 year experience in a health care related field. The successful candidate will possess a Personal Care Worker Certificate or possess or be in the process of pursuing a certificate/diploma/degree in a health care discipline. CPR is considered as an asset. Ability to work with diverse clients and staff is required. Familiarity with clinical care and issues specific to mental health and or addictions settings is preferred. Familiarity with clinical care and issues specific to mental health and or addictions settings is preferred. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
Full Time
