Thales Global Service is a THALES entity in charge of maintaining IT ecosystem for the whole organization.

You will join the Thales Cloud Journey program one of the pillars of the Cloud Center of Excellence. The objectives of this program is to modernize web applications By Re-Hosting them on modern Cloud Landing Zones Updating the codes when needed and implement CICD principles.

As a Cloud Architect you will be a key element of this transformation program. You will interact with an Assessment team that is in charge of designing a modern architecture and with application developers that will help you modernizing the application source code.

TCJ can modernize custom code (any languages any kind of architecture) and COTS.

Actions for a Cloud Architect:

Ask for contextual information around an application to plan the entire list of tasks for the modernization factory to deliver without any hassle
Identify the different alternatives and cloud services as a target of every IT application (300)
Being the referent of cloud integration CICD process and Level 3 support for the modernization squad Cloud integration and other dark magic cloud or operating systems hacks
Being able to estimate the target cloud cost and compare to DC (legacy) hosting costs
Being able to vulgarize very difficult complex stuff to business to reinsure or convince them.

Expectation for the candidate:

Experience with at least one Public Cloud Provider (GCP is preferred)
Strong experience with Helm Chart and Ansible Roles.
Strong experience in containerization and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Soft skills in front of the business
Being convincing in front of the other core services to adapt their roadmap according to this programs requirements.
Being solution driven inventive and motivated to overcome any obstacles
Professional level in English.
