Job Description: Travel Telecommunications Technician (Level III IV) Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Telecommunications Technician (Level 3 4) to support nationwide data center installation projects. This role will focus on rack and stack DC power work and equipment installation with an emphasis on high-voltage skills. The technician will travel frequently to project sites while working locally in base markets such as Monroe NC and Tampa FL when not on the road.
Key Responsibilities -
Perform rack and stack installation of network and telecom equipment in data centers.

Run and terminate power cabling to fuse panels and BDFBs with an emphasis on high-voltage DC power work.

Support data center long-haul installations (e.g. 1830 builds) and related infrastructure.

Execute installations modifications and power connections following industry standards client specifications and safety regulations.

Read and interpret technical drawings schematics and MOPs.
-
Maintain detailed project documentation and communicate status updates to supervisors or project managers.

Collaborate with other technicians subcontractors and site leadership to ensure timely completion of projects.
Qualifications & Experience -
3 6 years of telecom or data center installation experience (Level III IV).

Strong background in DC power systems fuse panels BDFBs and high-voltage work.

Experience with rack and stack cable routing labeling and terminations.

Ability to interpret and execute technical specifications and installation prints.

Knowledge of telecom equipment installation standards (e.g. AT&T Verizon Telcordia).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-
OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety certifications preferred.
-
Valid drivers license and ability to travel.
Travel & Work Conditions -
Frequent travel to project sites across the U.S
