Job Summary:
This role requires a skilled Anesthesia Technician with significant experience in pediatric cardiac and trauma cases. The technician will provide support during a variety of surgical procedures utilizing specialized equipment and adhering to strict safety protocols. Experience with open-heart surgery and trauma levels I and II is mandatory.
Location: Washington District of Columbia United States
Responsibilities:
- Assisting anesthesiologists and CRNAs during surgical procedures involving cardiac kidney lung neuro orthopaedic and trauma patients.
- Operating and maintaining anesthesia machines (GE preferred).
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to emergencies.
- Preparing and maintaining surgical equipment and supplies.
- Adhering to strict sterile techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 3-4 years of experience in pediatric cardiac and trauma anesthesia.
- Experience with open-heart surgery and trauma levels I and II.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Certified Anesthesia Technician (CAT) certification.
