Description
The Government Services Integration Cluster (GSIC) is responsible for IT project management delivery and implementation of technologies in support of Service Ontario and other partner ministries. The Shared Utility Service (SUS) environment provides a scalable and secure IT infrastructure to meet application hosting needs of I&IT clusters and by extension to the service owners in ministry program. It is an ongoing service that presently hosts multiple internal and public-facing government applications. There are presently 150 hosted applications in SUS with over 30 being critical business applications.
There is ongoing work for intake and on-boarding of new applications and development improvement and management of operational processes and activities.
This position requires a hybrid work environment. The resource is expected to work from the office position three days a week.
Position Highlights:
Support and provide input to building out strategies for product management and maintain the end-to-end product life cycle processes roles and responsibilities.
Document User Guides including visual aids for various roles that are part of the governance model.
Provide timely system support for internal users on the product functionality
Guide and create processes for support and maintenance of the related services
Guide and create processes for onboarding of new teams and client portfolios.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle including:
Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements
Defining the product vision
Ensuring that the product supports the companys overall strategy and goals
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience:
o Identify and fill product gaps
o Generate new ideas that grow market share Improve customer experience
o Drive growth
o Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
o Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
o Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
Drive product launches including working with client relationship team executives and other product management team members
Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
Represent the team by containing users to solicit feedback on products and services
General Skills:
Experience delivering PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Experience working with external third parties to assess COTS products and compatibility.
Experience running beta and pilot programs with early-stage software products and services
A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience

Must Haves/ Mandatory Skills:
Knowledge and understanding of application and technology architecture definition and integration needs related to shared infrastructure and middleware
Experience and knowledge in providing logical technology analysis at functional level.
Experience with Platform services APIs and databases.
Knowledge of the design and architecture of cloud deployments
Knowledge of development frameworks/technologies
Experience in structured methodologies for the design development implementation and maintenance of products and services
Desirable Skills:
Experience with virtualization technologies; VMware Server virtualization; and within the following application development frameworks: Java/J2EE Spring Framework AngularJS Python HTML JavaScript C SQL API Microservices and container technologies.
10 years experience in planning designing implementing evaluating and analyzing large transactional middleware platform with distributed computing
Strong working/architecture knowledge of N-Tier environments Intel and Unix platforms Cloud Computing Networking.
Technology vision and architectural leadership
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture gating processes
Knowledge of the technology aspects of Service-Oriented and Container/ Component-based architecture and design
Knowledge and understanding of OPS Corporate I&IT information architecture strategy policies plans current and emerging IT architecture principles methodologies mechanisms and techniques to analyze develop and implement application and technology architecture

Experience in managing end-to-end product lifecycle from requirement gathering to product retirement
Experience in documenting and presenting product roadmaps requirements backlog functional description and user guides
Experience working with implementation teams to build and roll out products
Experience providing support to CRMs and Operations staff
Platform Technologies 20%
Knowledge of Web Servers Application Servers Tools such as Ansible Kubernetes/OpenShift Container Platform
Experience with Application hosting service models pricing licences platform evergreening
Integration Technologies - 20%
Knowledge of Gateways APIs and Managed File Transfer systems
Knowledge of various integration protocols like SOAP REST GraphQL etc.

Experience in the developing and managing plans for medium to large projects including resource management RAID management and stakeholder management.
