About the job:
Based in Stavanger Norway you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATOs Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Stavanger which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the Joint Warfare Center (JWC). CSU Stavanger enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime crisis and war.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Principal Technician (ICT System) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
Assists in designing verifying documenting amending and refactoring moderately complex software configurations for deployment.
Monitors operational systems for resource usage and failure rates to inform and facilitate system software tuning.
Carries out agreed network maintenance tasks and specified operational configuration of network components.
Installs or removes hardware and/or software using supplied installation instructions and tools including handover to the client.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
At least 3 years practical experience of implementation and maintenance of ICT systems within a large organization.
Proven prior experience and a good knowledge of working with bespoke applications or national Community-of-Interest (CoI) services within an engineering environment.
Demonstrable evidence in maintaining knowledge of advances in IS technologies and Service Management.
Experience in IT systems virtualization VMware infrastructure support (ESXi/vSphere).
Experience in System Administration of common Operating Systems (OS).
Knowledge of Windows Active Directory (AD) services and Group Policies.
Good experience configuring hardware and software.
Good understanding of ICT systems and the ability to work independently to solve problems.
Hands-on experiencetroubleshooting technical issues andproviding technical support to end-users.
Fluency in English both written and spoken
