You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Account Manager (Japan) to join a team of experienced sales and business development professionals to deliver on commercial targets.

Reporting to the sales head(Japan) the Account Manager will work with other experienced professionals as part of a global team to actively drive growthand awareness of Oxford Nanopore Technologies products. The successful candidate will be responsible along with the head of salesfor the region for implementing a strategic business plan and delivering to agreed commercial targets within the Territory. This role will focus on driving sales growth through established Dealer networks and new customers in Japan. The position will be supported by the Customer Service Technical Support and Applications achieve role objectives you will be expected to undertake at least 50% travel.
Please note this role can be office or home-based.
Other responsibilities include:
Identifying new opportunities within the territory
Managing key customer relationships across broad fields of research interest
Working with the Customer Support team to prioritise and manage concerns reported by dealers in a timely manner
Understanding of funding cycles and the decision-making process in the territory
Delivering to the agreed commercial targets for MinION GridION and PromethION systems
Adheringto best practices for tracking recording and documenting relevant commercial intelligence from all customer interactions
What Were Looking For...
Well expect you to have a BSc preferably in Life Sciences and proven abilities as a commercial professional with excellent organisation andtime management skills and ideally someone experienced in presentingand negotiating. Youll have a positive can-do attitude and are a strong communicator in both Japanese and Englishenablingyou to effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders across multi-disciplinary and international teams.
Ideally youll have experience working with research/life science departments knowledge of the life sciencesand proven abilities in selling complex products or services. You know your way around CRM systemsare commercially astute with the ability to work to budgets and you haveexcellent local knowledge of Japanese best business practices.
This role will suit someone keen to join a disruptive cutting-edge high-tech organisation and who is confident working under pressure with minimum supervision in amatrixed sales and service environment.
