Veterinary Technician

Beach Park Animal Clinic

Tampa Florida

Beach Park Animal Clinicis dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly and compassionate service. We are looking for anexperienced veterinary technicianto join our professional highly educated compassionate team. The ideal candidate will feel confident rooming patients assisting in surgery placing IV catheters drawing blood and running bloodwork has in-clinic laboratory knowledge experience with x-rays and proper positioning understands the importance of client education capable of dispensing and administering medication prescribed by the veterinarian and is a positive and supportive team player.Beach Park Animal Clinicstrives to help its employees with a work/life balance. If you are anexperienced veterinary technicianwho is motivated and looking to take your skills and education to the next level then we are excited to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting

  • Strong surgical & dental skills

  • Blood draws (cephalic saphenous and jugular)

  • Placing IV catheters

  • Digital radiology including positioning.

  • Dentistry (digital x-rays scaling polishing)

  • Anesthesia (induction intubation monitoring aseptic technique)

  • TPR

  • Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue

  • Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories

  • Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint

  • Excellent client communication/education
