Job Summary

Rank: Assistant Professor
Department:Speech-Language Pathology
Starting Date: Fall 2026

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology or related field(ABD status considered however terminal degree is required at the time of hire)
  • California Speech-Language Pathology License (or eligibility to obtain)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in the candidates area of expertise
  • Planned or active research program in adult and/or pediatric motor speech disorders
  • Demonstrated evidence or potential for teaching excellence at the university level
  • Ability to teach courses in dysarthria apraxia and AAC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Research plan or productivity commensurate with rank and experience
  • Ability to teach in multiple content areas related to motor-speech disorders such as voice resonance phonetics; speech sound production; and fluency

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $7125- $8646 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $6221- $13224 per month
