Job Description

  • Full time ongoing position based in Wellington
  • Your opportunity to shape impactful policy to support health initiatives
  • Contribute to legislation guidelines and strategic advice
  • Midpoint of $86862 dependent on experience

This is the opportunity to support key initiatives and work in the collaborative energy our team brings. Gain experience in regulatory policy legislative processes and collaborate across sectors to deliver high-quality projects and build strong relationships.

Ko tu ake mahi - What youll do

  • Provide input into drafting policy documents legislation and guidelines and provide ad-hoc advice which contributes to legislation guidelines and strategic advice that supports key health initiatives and equity outcomes.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure quality accuracy and consistency in team outputs.
  • Monitor report and evaluate project progress ensuring successful delivery and completion.
  • Foster collaboration and contribute to effective implementation across teams and directorates.
  • Uphold the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi advancing outcomes for Mori and ensuring equity.

  • Demonstrated organisational skills with a knack for forward-thinking prioritisation initiative and precision in managing competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in applying critical thinking and developing practical solutions to deliver well-informed advice
  • Exceptional communication skillsboth written and verbalwith the ability to simplify complex ideas for various audiences
  • A relevant tertiary qualification that underpins analytical thinking and policy development
