Job Description

AEITS Inc. is seeking a Business Financial Professional I (BFP1) to support a dynamic government program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or purchasing within the Department of Defense (DoD) or commercial sector.

In this pivotal role you will provide dedicated support to our customer based in the Annapolis Junction MD area supporting a government program. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy compliance and execution of government contracts and requisitions. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Your Mission: As a Business Financial Professional supporting this government program you will apply expert financial and acquisition principles throughout the program lifecycle to ensure accuracy compliance and efficiency in all financial transactions and documentation. Your role is essential in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the organizations fiscal operations.

Location: Annapolis Junction MD

All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Certifications:

  • NONE

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Four (4) years of experience in DoD or IC financial or purchasing roles or Six (6) years of combined experience in DoD IC and commercial purchasing or finance
  • In lieu of two (2) years of experience a bachelors degree with a business focus is acceptable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including the use of formulas and pivot tables
  • Assist with the validation and completion of Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs)
  • Support Government Business Contract Management Offices in End-of-Year activities and Actual data call submissions
  • Enter requisitions into the financial management system with complete documentation (e.g. PSC# PAR SPAT BER# Acq Sec#)
  • Prepare and manage non-complex Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs) and Economy Act Orders (EAOs)
  • Process incoming MIPRs and EAOs using standard BM&A procedures to ensure acceptance and compliance
  • Develop and maintain spend plans in the financial management system based on government requirements
  • Modify requisitions and associated documentation in accordance with Contracting guidance to support the obligation of funds
  • Track and monitor requisitions throughout the approval and certification process until execution or destination
  • Extract and analyze financial reports/data using systems such as FACTS CMIS EDSS and CDW
  • Apply established policies procedures regulations and tools related to government acquisition and financial management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with government financial systems such as FACTS CMIS EDSS and CDW
  • Knowledge of BM&A processes and standard acquisition/financial management practices

Education and Required Qualification

  • Four (4) years of experience in DoD or IC financial or purchasing roles

OR

  • Six (6) years of combined experience in DoD IC and commercial purchasing or finance
    • In lieu of two (2) years of experience a bachelors degree with a business focus is acceptable

Travel

  • Less than 10% of travel may occur.
