Were seeking a talented Data Engineer to revolutionize our Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) this pivotal role youll design innovative data solutions that translate complex business requirements into accurate consistent compensation results driving organizational performance and strategic decision-making.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive data application development lifecycles
- Create scalable high-performance data models with rigorous testing and integration
- Optimize data pipeline architectures using industry-leading warehousing and ETL practices
- Ensure exceptional data quality security and integrity across engineering processes
- Develop innovative automation solutions to accelerate organizational efficiency

Your day will be dynamic and impactful focusing on developing ground-breaking data infrastructure that powers critical business processes. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams architect scalable data models and create solutions that transform raw data into strategic intelligence.
About the team
We are a collaborative and forward-thinking Sales Incentive Compensation team with a mission to enable the business growth of Amazon Ads through effective sales compensation design governance and operations. We are committed to doing this by pushing technological boundaries through robust efficient and innovative data solutions.
- 3 years of data engineering experience
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python Java Scala or NodeJS
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift S3 AWS Glue EMR Kinesis FireHose Lambda and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage document or key-value stores graph databases column-family databases)
- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop Hive Spark EMR
- Experience with SQL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
