Job Description

Summary

Responsible for (planning scheduling and monitoring) the movement of materials and returns through the production cycle to determine required materials needed to complete a job. Related experience in planning organizing and evaluating production schedules to ensure timely delivery of final product while remaining within budget. The position will have analytical and problem solving abilities be detail oriented and always strive to optimize the manufacturing process.

The position is further responsible for timely planning inventory control of material as assigned and performing the following duties under medium degree of supervision some independent decision making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
  • Prepares production reports.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Maintains timely control of orders amendments shipping notices and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
  • Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule at the negotiated price and meets the quality standards of the company.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes tools and human resource requirements.
  • Plans sequence of fabrication assembly installation and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
  • Prepares lists of required materials tools and equipment.
  • Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.   • General knowledge of Microsoft Office and Inventory Software.
  • 1-3 years directly related experience.
  • Follow all import/export requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 sigma/Kaizen
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently.

Position may require one or more of the following (Site/CBU Specific):

U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data.

ITAR regulations dictate that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies may only be shared with US Persons unless authorization from the Department of State is received or a special exemption is used.

Salary Range:

$61600.00-$82100.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including but not limited to location education/training work experience key skills and type of position.
