Amazons fulfillment network is establishing a new distribution center network to continue revolutionizing the inbound supply chain. The 1DC network will manage Amazons most critical inbound volume becoming the sole source of inventory for multiple fulfillment channels from core FCs to Sub Same Day. We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to manage inbound flows to this new DC network building new mechanisms to ensure consistency in inbound flows from appointment scheduling to day of week capacity utilization enabling the network to run without constraints.
Key job responsibilities This SCM will manage inbound flows to 1DC partnering with operations S&OP SCOT scheduling and others to create seamless and consistent inbound from vendors to DCs and creating an efficient trailer handoff between inbound and outbound. This SCM will understand inbound flows systems and selection ensuring that upstream changes do not disrupt DC network flow. They will partner closely with scheduling and vendor teams to ensure timely arrivals and appointment adherence working to improve orchestration between inbound and outbound flows.
- 5 years of program or project management experience - 5 years of supply chain experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership - Bachelors degree
- 2 years of driving process improvements experience - Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field
