Job Summary
At SPL were powered by purpose precision and forward momentum. Were searching for a motivated Gas Measurement Technician to join our Metrology Division in Carlsbad NM. In this impact-driven role youll be responsible for installing maintaining and calibrating gas meters and associated mechanical and/or electronic systems. What Youll Do
- Install configure calibrate and maintain primary and secondary gas measurement devices;
- Conduct multi-point verification orifice plate inspection and troubleshoot gas measurement systems;
- Maintain work schedules with customers and SPL including communicating schedule changes promptly;
- Prepare and submit required documentation such as COC documentation field service tickets and calibration reports;
- Identify industry-related equipment and measurement terminology accurately;
- Transport hazardous and nonhazardous materials safely;
- Train and mentor new employees on primary tasks;
- Other duties as assigned.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of education;
- Previous measurement experience strongly preferred;
- Intermediate knowledge of AGA/GPA/API Measurement Guidelines and regulatory requirements (BLM COGCC);
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently under limited supervision.

Your Schedule and The Fine Print
- Full-time position following a varying work schedule of 8-16 hours per day;
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule including weekends and holidays as needed to support business priorities and deadlines;
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including hot cold and/or inclement temperatures;
- Applicant must live in or near Carlsbad NM or Mentone TX.
