Job Description

PENDING GRANT FUNDINGPOSITION: Math Tutor - St. Marys Parish School 1-3 (1)QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree and/or enrolled in a teaching certification program at a college or university; grade level and content certification; experience teaching or tutoring middle school students TO: Principal or Principal DesigneeRESPONSIBILITIES:Under the direction of authorized administrators the tutor shall:Provide academic assistance for students with developing math skills and concepts in grades one-to-one or small group strong communication skills and collaborate effectively with students of varying backgrounds and levels of need. Collaborate with teachers to determine strategies to increase student instruction in targeted areas based on student data. Monitor student familiar with Google Platform and applications especially Google and maintain a safe orderly environment that is conducive to learning. Assist content area teachers in implementing and following student-learning other duties as assigned by the building principal. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTMust be available during the school day 8:00 a.m. - 2:20 p.m. Not to exceed 8 hours per weekSALARYStipend - $36 per hour DATES OF EMPLOYMENTSeptember 2025 June 2026EVALUATIONPerformance will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of St Marys evaluation system observations by Administration and student feedback.
