General machinist- cut-a-part
Overview
The General machinist sets up and operates manual Conventional Lathe Mill Surface Grinding and Drilling machines.
Works from sketches and blueprints and uses precision measuring equipment to check conformance work.
Type of Position: Temporary to Hire
Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $24.00
Duties and Responsibilities
Works with material such as Stainless steel Brass Aluminum and tool steel
Sets and adjusts manual machines for proper operation
Works with Assembly department to prioritize Cut-apart/repairs of production products
Performs daily computer transaction of completed jobs
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Education and Experience
HS diploma required
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Aerospace machining
Friendly enthusiastic and a good team player
Efficient accurate attentive to detail
Self-motivated and willing to take initiative
Must have knowledge of basic shop math
Must have experience in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
