Job Description

Summary/Objective

The sucessful incumbent will be a part of a team providing instructional support to students. The incumbent will have in-person responsibilities at the Lee WIlliams Campus that include assisting students in the computer lab and providing tutoring.

Essential Functions

  1. Respond to all internal and external customers as it relates to job in a prompt efficient friendly and patient manner.
  2. Support and work with students to provide educational assistance necessary to help the student grasp concepts from the classes he/she are enrolled in through online instructional delivery.
  3. Serve as the classroom administrator in the computer lab for online learning.
  4. Report to supervisor daily to review program function.
  5. Maintain communication with Teachers of Record and families regarding any concerns with student behavior or progress.
  6. Provide technical assistanceto staff and students as needed.
  7. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all policies regulations and rules.
  8. Perform related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner.

  6. Proficiency in using Excel other Microsoft Office Suite software programs and educational platforms relevant to the position.
  7. Ability to operate most standard office equipment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

The incumbent in this position will primarily work at Lee Williams.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  1. Regularly required to see talk and hear
  2. Regularly required to sit type and focus on a computer screen for long periods of time
  3. Regularly required to be mobile
  4. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

At Will Notice of Employment does not provide a guarantee of a particular schedule of work or a minimum number of days or hours.

This is typically a 9-month 40-hour per week position. Employee will work Monday through Thursday during core business hours.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. AA degree 60 college credits from an accredited university or satisfactory results on an Arizona state-approved competency exam (ParaPro)

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience working with students or children.

Required Certifications/Licenses

None

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
