The School which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University Singapore in partnership with Imperial College London LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The Schools primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical August 2024 we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine with an emphasis on technology data science and the humanities.
The Student Progress Team is responsible for overseeing all aspects of student progress (academic professionalism and wellbeing) at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. The Senior Executive Student Progress supports Vice-Dean (Education) and Vice-Dean (Clinical Affairs) in administering processes and policies concerning student progress at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. This position reports to Assistant Director Student Progress. The post holder is required to ensure that efficient and robust systems and data handling mechanisms are in place for monitoring student academic and professionalism concerns as well as student wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
Provide advisory on attendance and other infringements
Arrange diagnostic meetings and take notes during diagnostic meetings
Manage action plans arising from decisions taken at diagnostic meetings
Keep proper record of Concern Forms and supporting documents
Managing the Secretariat for the Academic Professionalism and Wellbeing Monitoring Group (APWMG)
Prepare reports for presentation and follow up on action plans from decisions taken at APWMG meeting
Arrange the Guidance and Remediation Workshop
Prepare and send to the facilitators the meeting packages
Keep proper records on workshop statistics and ensure submission of the remediation plans by students and House Tutors.
Requirements:
A recognised degree in Business Management Arts and Social Sciences or relevant discipline. Preference will be given to those with a degree in Psychology.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Meticulous and detailed oriented
Responsible self-motivated and takes initiative
A good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and a problem solver
Proficiency in Word Excel and Power Point is essential
Prior administrative experience in a higher education administration will be an advantage
