Position Summary
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. This position will assist in implementing a mindfulness-based social-emotional learning program called the Be CALM program in early college high schools as part of a Department of Education funded project. Key responsibilities include co-facilitating trainings and technical assistance support for school counselors and teachers and ensuring program adaptations for locals contexts within fidelity parameters. This position will also support development of new implementation measures collection of implementation data and summary of data for the implementation team.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Extensive experience consulting with K12 educators around implementation of social-emotional programs to promote student mental health. Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering professional development programs with educators.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Preference for a Masters degree in K-12 Education Psychology Social Work Public Health Prevention Science Implementation Science or closely related fields of study; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Experience implementing innovations within education and mental health systems. Experience training adults in mindfulness. Experience delivering social-emotional programs in schools. Curriculum-writing experience. Experience working in a research setting.
