Accounts Manager - Tuition Awaken Christian Academy is looking for a full-time Account Manager to join our team. POSITION SUMMARY Awaken Christian Academy staff are committed to being Christ-centered biblically based Spirit-led ceaselessly praying community-serving diversity embracing God-glorifying as well as an excellence striving community that is filled with Gods love. As such each staff member is a part of the ministry by teaching the Bible praying for and with others and carrying out the vision of Awaken Las Vegas. The Tuition Accounts Manager serves as a resource to parents providing information about tuition fees grants and scholarships. KEY QUALITIES The position functions with minimal daily oversight or direction. The role handles and maintains confidential information as well as exercises discretion in the execution of school and church matters at all times. Awaken Christian Academy uses a tuition management service provided by an outside vendor to invoice collect and record school tuitions and fees. The Tuition Accounts Manager must be capable of working independently with the ability to effectively deal with and solve problems while making rational decisions. This role requires a high degree of initiative professionalism organization and communication skills. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES GENERAL - Pick up payments make deliveries appropriate offices including Elementary Middle School High School Chapel Reception and Accounting.
- Process desktop deposits - scan checks via desk scanner.
- Count reconcile and prepare cash deposits for transport to the bank.
- Prepare deposit sheets and upload them to the third party accounting firm.
- Post payments in tuition management service to student records.
- Meet with parents to accept payments review accounts and answer questions.
- Process credit card payments over the phone and in the office.
- Run reports from tuition management service regarding daily deposit detail.
- Answer phone calls and emails regarding various issues for families.
- Oversee elementary student store sales.
- Collaboration with church accounting for various projects.
- Additional duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE - 2 to 5 years minimum of demonstrated work experience in an accounting or bookkeeping position. Prior school school or nonprofit experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software with extensive knowledge of Excel and Word.
EDUCATION - High School diploma required. Accounting classes or certification a plus.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or business administration is preferred but not required. Significant experience can substitute for a degree.
MINISTERIAL - Must have a heart for the mission drive and vision of Awaken Christian Academy.
- Strong alignment with Awaken Las Vegas.
- Must be a Christian with the ability to present the gospel the good news of salvation whenever the occasion arises.
- Ability to lead and participate in prayer with whoever needs it: congregants students co-workers parents and the general public.
