Job Description
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical/Surgical RN (Telemetry) in West Des Moines IA! This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse seeking a rewarding travel assignment in a supportive hospital environment.
Department: 7 South Med Surg Tele
Shift Options: Day (7:00 AM 7:30 PM) or Night (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts) 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient-centered care to medical/surgical and telemetry patients.
- Implement monitor and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Record monitor and communicate patient conditions and changes.
- Serve as the primary coordinator between physicians nursing staff and other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders promptly and accurately.
- Support and manage patient discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as an RN in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry.
- Licensure/Certifications: Active RN license (compact license accepted if applicable).
- Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring and acute care settings.
- Travel RN experience preferred but not required.
