Job Description

King & Columbus the full-service marketing agency that is sister brands to The Post and Courier seeks a creative and highly skilled Videographer / Photographer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will capture and produce compelling visual content including video photography and drone footage that supports client campaigns and internal marketing initiatives. This position plays a vital role in helping our clients tell their stories across digital social and traditional platforms.

This position is ideally based in Charleston Columbia or Greenville and requires in-state travel to client locations for content shoots.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality video and photography content for client campaigns events websites and social media.
  • Conduct on-site and studio shoots including setup of lighting backdrops and sound equipment.
  • Operate drones to capture aerial video and photography (preferred).
  • Manage full production process including storyboarding shot lists and coordination with clients.
  • Perform post-production editing including video cutting motion graphics sound design and color correction.
  • Edit and proof photos for use in marketing advertising and digital applications.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Client Services account managers and creative staff to ensure content aligns with client goals and brand standards.
  • Maintain equipment and manage digital assets including proper storage and file organization.
  • Assist with creative development and ideation for multimedia campaigns.
  • Work cooperatively across departments and with external clients to achieve project objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Communications Media Arts or related field preferred.
  • 13 years of professional videography and photography experience (agency or marketing experience a plus).
  • Proficient with industry-standard editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop After Effects Lightroom) or comparable software.
  • Knowledge of RAW file conversion sound editing and color grading.
  • Strong creative vision with the ability to translate client needs into engaging content.
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Drone piloting experience and FAA certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel in-state for shoots as required.
  • Close eye work and visual focus.
  • Ability to sit walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Light to moderate lifting (1530 lbs.) as needed for equipment setup.
