We are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Business Partner. This role will be based within the Head Office FP&A Team partners with senior leaders across Procurement Supply Chain Operations and Finance to provide high-quality financial modelling analysis and insights. The role plays a key part in supporting strategic and operational decision making driving process improvements and to strengthen financial governance.

You will be responsible for developing robust financial models delivering analysis on project valuations operations performance and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in line with Downers Zero Harm client and business objectives.

In your role you will be accountable for:

• Financial Modelling & Analysis
• Business Partnering
• Financial Planning Budgeting and Reporting
• Business Process Improvement

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in finance or accounting or equivalent business experience

• Membership with a recognised professional accounting body in Australia (CAANZ / CPA)

Experience:

• 5 years experience in accounting business analysis or finance roles within a medium-to-large commercial organisation or Big 4 professional services firm

• Advanced financial modelling experience with proven ability in designing and building complex financial models from scratch in Excel

• Proficient in data analytics and visualisation. Ability to use large data to forecast outcomes and provide actionable insights using Power BI and Power Point

• Demonstrated experience in scenario modelling sensitivity analysis and advanced valuation techniques

• Proven success in partnering senior management stakeholders and relationship building

• Strong background in the use of large ERPs - JDEGS and OneStream preferred

• Demonstrate ability to establish lead and manage robust business improvement initiatives and efficiencies

Skills and knowledge:

• Advanced financial modelling skills using complex Excel formulas Power QueryVBA/macros and automation

• Advanced BI/data tools skill (Power BI SQL or similar)

• Strong understanding of project accounting principles

• Excellent interpersonal and business partnering skills with finance and operations

• Skilled in budgeting and planning along with conducting variance analysis to understand performance drivers

• Ability to collect distil analyse and interpret large quantities of transactional and balance data to provide meaningful insight
