The Role: Greenkeeper

As a Greenkeeper at Lingfield Park youll play a vital role in maintaining the high standards expected of both our golf course and grounds. You will work within a dynamic team to ensure all playing surfaces and surrounding areas are kept in pristine condition and are ready to welcome golfers and visitors all year round.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas of the golf course and surroundings in line with best practices and company standards.
• Manage and present fine turf areas (greens tees approaches) to the highest possible standard.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of daily weekly and seasonal maintenance schedules.
• Support construction and renovation work on course features such as bunkers tees and greens.
• Ensure clubhouse surroundings car parks lawns and public spaces are clean tidy and well presented.
• Maintain flower beds planters and hanging baskets where required.
• Operate and maintain all turfcare machinery and equipment safely and as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Keep paths roadways and communal areas clean and clear of rubbish.

What Were Looking For

• Previous experience working in a golf course or sports turf environment.
• NVQ Level 3 in Turf Maintenance/Sports Turf Management (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence (clean).
• PA1 PA2A & PA6 spraying certificates advantageous.
• Chainsaw qualifications advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive flexible and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
