Description
US Heart and Vascular is needing a Hybrid Medical Assistant to join our Clinical Response team with Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson AZ.
Responsibilities:
- Interviews patients by phone to assess their current medical condition such as pulse rate temperature blood pressure weight and height and current medications
- Accurately document patient contact in electronic medical records system
- Screens telephone calls for physicians
- Takes and/or returns patient phone calls in a timely manner to assist patients
- Calls in patient prescriptions in a timely manner
- Answers clinical response calls
- Communicate timely & accurately with physicians in electronic medical records system
- Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
- Other related duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Knowledge in medical terminology
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Cardiac Experience
