Description

US Heart and Vascular is needing a Hybrid Medical Assistant to join our Clinical Response team with Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson AZ.

Responsibilities:

Interviews patients by phone to assess their current medical condition such as pulse rate temperature blood pressure weight and height and current medications
Accurately document patient contact in electronic medical records system
Screens telephone calls for physicians
Takes and/or returns patient phone calls in a timely manner to assist patients
Calls in patient prescriptions in a timely manner
Answers clinical response calls
Communicate timely & accurately with physicians in electronic medical records system
Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
Other related duties may be assigned

Requirements:

Knowledge in medical terminology
Completion of a Medical Assistant program
Cardiac Experience
