The role
As our Support Worker youll provide informal support and wellbeing checks for residents monitor CCTV respond to incidents and maintain clean and safe communal areas. Youll deliver detailed handovers to day staff triage out-of-hours issues and support clients using trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches. Youll uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards administer basic first aid (training provided) and maintain accurate records in line with GDPR. Youll also represent the organisation professionally and work confidently when lone working.
Our ideal candidate:
Good communication skills (clear) verbal and written English
Good keyboard skills for data inputting
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Excel and Word
Polite and assertive manner
Ability to self-motivate as you will work on your own
Collaborate well in a team
Ability to respond calmly in a crisis
Have an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues
This role requires night and weekend work including lone working and an Enhanced DBS with Barred List(s) check will be completed upon appointment.
We offer a monthly salary a contributory pension scheme 20 days annual leave (rising to 25) plus bank holidays and business mileage paid at HMRC rates.
