Interventional Radiology Technologist (Permanent Role) Location: Lakeway TX 78738
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Perform high-quality interventional radiology (IR) procedures according to established protocols in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper patient identification and conduct the correct examination for the correct patient.
- Communicate with patients using AIDET (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You) to ensure understanding and comfort.
- Explain procedures and assess patients ability to tolerate them.
- Position patients and prepare equipment using proper immobilization and exposure techniques.
- Follow safety and infection-control guidelines including maintaining sterile fields and appropriate hand hygiene.
- Maintain clean and organized equipment and procedure areas.
- Collaborate with biomedical engineers and physicists to ensure equipment is functioning properly; report malfunctions as needed.
- Ensure the department is safely accessible by properly screening all individuals.
- Maintain and verify necessary documentation (requisitions patient history pregnancy status consent forms etc.).
- Keep accurate imaging records in the designated systems in accordance with policy and timely interpretation standards.

- Quick and accurate service delivery following regulatory and system standards.
- Calm and solution-oriented under pressure or during emergencies.
- Demonstrates continued education and clinical competency across age groups: newborn pediatric young adult adult and geriatric.
- Serves as a mentor/preceptor to train new staff and implement new services.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Required: ARRT-R (Radiography)
- Required (within two years of hire): Must obtain one of the following:
- ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Radiography)
- ARRT-CV (Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography)
- ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiography)
