Job Title: Pharmacist
Site: Southern Bands Health Center (Elko Service Unit ESU)
Location: 515 Shoshone Circle Elko NV 89801
Duration: 1 year contract with possibility of a 4 years extension
Shift Schedule:
- Full-time 8-hour shifts (Monday Friday for most locations).
- Phoenix and Whiteriver units may include evening night weekend or holiday shifts.
- Example schedules: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. 9:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. 12:00 a.m.
License / Certifications:
- Active unrestricted Pharmacist license (U.S. state/territory).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Education:
- Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited program
Minimum Qualification / Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse patient populations
Responsibilities:
- Review patient charts lab work allergies and vitals to verify medication orders.
- Process fill and check prescription orders for accuracy.
- Provide medication counseling and patient education.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure safe and effective therapy.
- Manage controlled substances audits and IV admixtures.
- Administer immunizations (with certification).
- Answer provider and patient inquiries regarding drug therapy.
- Recognize and respond to adverse drug reactions and emergencies.
- Participate in mandatory training and competency assessments
