Our client a custom injection molder seeks an off-shift (C Shift) Production Department Supervisor.
- Assure that customer demands are met through quality and delivery.
- Maintain necessary paperwork and reporting requirements including but not limited to; production reports employee timesheets and attendance records documentation and corrective actions.
- Consults and coordinates with management in matters involving production needs and demands.
- Evaluate staffing needs and manage accordingly.
- Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with employees in order to assure understanding and accurate transfer of information.
- Ensure operators perform jobs correctly and effectively on a daily basis.
- Participate in the development of work instructions/cycle times for assembly jobs.
- Perform duties regularly in production areas of the plant(s) in a hands-on capacity.
- Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within product specification parameters.
- Address personnel issues and costs to the company by reducing turnover improving efficiencies encouraging training and employee development within the shift operation.
- Responsible for maintaining a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards.
- Maintains adherence to company policies safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
- Support and participate in new projects.
- Support other departments Shipping Molding Quality and Engineering. Interacts with other departments.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Must be able to the work the hours as necessary to meet position requirements.
- Lead by example.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Requires BS BA or years of equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing or Assembly.
- Plastic injection molding knowledge is helpful but not required.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diverse workgroup.
- Must possess strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work outside normal working hours when required to accommodate departmental needs.
- Attendance is critical as is being on time.
