We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support the Advanced Cardiac Support team in Seattle WA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for local clinicians only (within 50-mile radius). The Medical Assistant will work in a fast-paced outpatient cardiology setting assisting providers rooming patients conducting vital signs and supporting clinic operations.
Responsibilities:Perform clinical tasks including vital signs height/weight pulse oximetry blood pressure respirations temperature and pulse checks.
Conduct 12-lead EKGs and support cardiology clinic workflows.
Assist with chart preparation patient refill requests pharmacy calls and stocking supplies.
Room patients prepare exam rooms and assist providers with positioning/draping as needed.
Record patient history medications and allergies accurately in EMR.
Handle authorization forms telephone triage and follow-up calls.
Perform lab draws as required.
Float between clinics within skillset as needed.
WA MA-C License required (pending license not accepted).
BLS certification required; ACLS and CMA preferred.
Must have reliable transportation (public transportation not accepted).
Must be a local candidate (within 50-mile radius).
Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period.
All RTO must be presented at submission.
Temp-to-hire position; candidates should be open to long-term placement.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience preferred (will consider 6 months).
Cardiology experience strongly preferred but candidates with general/family practice backgrounds will be reviewed.
First-time travelers accepted.
License:
WA State MA-C (Medical Assistant Certified) license required.
Skills:
Vital signs 12-lead EKG patient rooming follow-up calls.
Knowledge of cardiology general/family practice and outpatient clinical workflows.
Strong organizational skills for chart preparation and office duties.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy clinic environment.
