Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic IV - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Brunswick GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role

Summary:

  • Perform assembly fitting drilling riveting and fabrication of detail parts and structures

  • Use blueprints lofts sketches and work orders to determine operations rivet types hole patterns and procedures for adhesives/sealants

  • Inspect all work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection

  • Mentor and train team members in blueprint interpretation assembly techniques and problem-solving

  • Maintain logs and records (MIR sheets DMTs PCOs etc.)

  • Align and assemble parts using jigs fixtures pins clamps and fasteners

  • Perform repairs and rework per DMTs MRRs and PCOs to ensure conformity

  • Plan and organize workloads resource requirements and material procurement to meet or exceed goals

  • Maintain a neat and safe work area supporting 5S Lean initiatives and safety policies

  • Assist with Lean activities and continuous improvement efforts

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 6 years related structural assembly experience

  • Experience with Solumnia and Smarteam preferred

  • Q-stamp preferred

  • Skilled in close-tolerance work and use of special tools and measuring devices

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints sketches engineering drawings and technical instructions

  • Basic computer skills and software knowledge

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in confined or restricted spaces

  • Must be able to work any shift and communicate effectively in English

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
