Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Category Manager Intern to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in category management. This position is based out of Menomonee Falls WI.

As a Category Manager Intern you will support the Category Management team in optimizing product assortments analyzing market trends and developing strategies to drive growth within specific product categories. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals gain valuable industry insights and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Essential Functions:

• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends competitor activities and customer preferences. Assist in analyzing market data to inform category strategies.
• Data Management: Collect organize and analyze sales data inventory levels and product performance metrics. Assist in generating reports and presentations for the Category Management team.
• Category Strategy Support: Assist in the development and implementation of category strategies to optimize product and pricing assortments that maximize profitability.

Internship project to include:

• Operate in a global teaming model
• Supporting current products and launching new products in a diverse product portfolio
• Actively participate in optimizing pricing and channel strategy by region to compete globally

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration Marketing Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience: Previous internship or relevant experience in retail marketing or supply chain management is a plus but not required.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented proactive and eager to learn. A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for category management.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• The ability to coordinate numerous projects in a professional and ethical manner
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting preferred
• Must be a self-starter capable of working both independently as well as part of a team
• Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week periodically to complete the job

Working Conditions:

• Learning Opportunities: Our Student Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional setting. You will work alongside experienced professionals and get a chance to apply your academic knowledge to real-world tasks.
• Project Work: The work environment is supportive collaborative and conducive to learning. Student co-ops or interns typically work on specific projects or tasks that contribute to the organizations goals. This may range from supporting larger projects to handling smaller individual assignments.
• Hours: Co-ops and Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour work week
• Feedback and Performance Reviews: As a co-op or intern you will receive feedback and performance reviews throughout your assignment. We value the importance for interns to understand their progress and areas for improvement.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned degree job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic location.

At Brunswick it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.
