Job Description
POSTING DATE: September 3 2025
SCHOOL: Oliver Elementary School
POSTING: #24 - 2025/26
POSITION: PrimaryTeacher
APPOINTMENT:1.0 FTE Temporary
DURATION: September 24 2025 to November 26 2025 or return of incumbent not to exceed June 30 2026
Qualifications Required:
- degree in elementary education;
- recent successful classroom experience teaching at the primary level;
- ability to adapt curriculum programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students;
- ability to model teach and foster social emotional and cultural awareness;
- knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
- demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professionalcommunity at the school and district level;
- effective communication interpersonal organizational and classroom management skills;
- ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
- BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.

Teacher Pay is based on years of experience and TQS category (link July 2024 Salary Grid ).

Re-engagement and employer-initiated transfers may occur before during or after the posting process.
