Role Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Learning Experience Manager/Team Leader the Jr. Learning Experience Designer supports content creation to successfully drive the credit unions efforts in the design and implementation of engaging and effective learning content. This role provides direction on instructional design models adult learning theories training analysis training effectiveness metrics and prepares Learning & Development Specialists to successfully deliver the designed content. This individual will also develop and sustain strong partnerships with the Learning & Development Team and other organizational key stakeholders as needed for curriculum development.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Apply knowledge of adult learning theory to identify appropriate training across a wide audience base and learning styles
  2. Assist with creating learning content for traditional online self-paced and blended approaches
  3. Analyze and assess performance focusing on continuous organizational learning and development needs
  4. Create and develop competency-based learning content focusing on performance support solutions that promote practice retention and application of new skills and knowledge
  5. Collaborate with Learning Experience Designer to design learning objectives and goals for success. Maps these to appropriate learning modality to build a robust training curriculum
  6. Support a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments planning stakeholder management execution evaluation and sustainment of initiatives
  7. Support communication plans designed to positively influence or change behavior; develops tailored messaging and identifies appropriate distribution channels
  8. Conduct content reviews with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and validity of all training deliverables
  9. Perform all duties and maintain all sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism
  10. Display mutual respect trust and dignity acting in the best interest of the credit union at all times. Display solid ethics and integrity

About You:

  1. Understanding of adult learning and all aspects of instructional design for various formats including instructor-led and various types of performance support
  2. Proven knowledge of Instructional Design theory iterative development processes basic visual design principles and evaluation methods
  3. Understand adult learning facilitation skills process improvement know-how and ability to project ideas
  4. Strong organizational skills and ability to build/set schedules and adhere to projects
  5. Excellent listening skills and customer service attributes
  6. Must possess clear and effective oral and written communication skills

What You Will Need:

  1. Minimum of one (1) year of related job experience financial industry experience preferred
  2. Degree in Instructional Design or related field required. Related job experience relevant certifications or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school may be used in lieu of educational requirements
  3. Knowledge of basic design tools such as Canva
  4. Basic knowledge of AI and prompt engineering
  5. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word Processing programs
  6. Knowledge of credit union industry and previous financial industry experience preferred
  7. Independent travel is required to complete duties and attend training as necessary
  8. A valid Drivers License is required

Full Salary Range:

Richland WA: $25.11 - $37.67

Spokane WA: $24.34 - $36.50

*While our full pay range is listed most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach gives room to grow within the role as your career progresses with us!
